What days are you closed?

We are closed on all major holidays: New Year's Day, Mother's Day, Memorial Day, Father's Day, Independence Day (July 4th), Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

Do you offer a referral program?

Yes! Anyone who refers a new client to us receives a $100 Visa gift card after their referral's second recurring clean.

What cleaning products do you use?

We use only high-quality, eco-friendly, non-toxic professional cleaning products. They're free of harsh chemicals and safe for your family, pets, and homes with chemical sensitivities.

How long have you been in business?

Orchard Cleaning Services has been family-owned and operated since 2012 — over a decade serving Northern Michigan.

What areas of Northern Michigan do you serve?

We provide residential and commercial cleaning across Grand Traverse, Leelanau, Antrim, and Benzie counties — including Traverse City, Suttons Bay, Old Mission Peninsula, Acme, Interlochen, Elk Rapids, Glen Arbor, Leland, Frankfort, and surrounding towns.

Are your cleaners employees or contractors?

Every person working for us is an employee — not a contractor. This allows us to ensure consistent training, accountability, and quality standards across the team.

Are you a franchise or locally owned?

We are 100% locally owned and operated in Traverse City, Michigan.

How do I know I can trust my cleaning technician?

Every Orchard team member is put through a thorough and rigid background check and drug test before being hired. They're our employees (not contractors), Perfect Maintenance Cleaning Certified, and our company is fully insured.

What payment methods do you accept?

We accept cash, check, and all major credit cards.

Do I need to sign a contract?

No long-term contract — but our clients are asked to sign a non-compete form. This form simply states that you won't hire any of our employees directly outside of Orchard Cleaning Services.

When is payment due?

Payment is required at the time of service.

What's your pet policy?

Your pet is welcome to stay in your home while we clean. Our products are pet-safe. If a pet seems anxious or makes our team uncomfortable, we'll kindly ask you to make alternate arrangements during the cleaning. Please note we're not responsible for pet messes.

How do I skip or cancel a scheduled cleaning?

Please give us at least 24 hours' notice via email or phone if you need to skip or cancel your next scheduled clean.

Can I request extra cleaning tasks?

Yes — if you'd like extras not listed on our standard cleaning checklist, please contact the office before your cleaning. We'll do our best to accommodate, though added tasks may affect your rate.

Are tips accepted?

Tips are not expected but always appreciated. You're welcome to leave cash for your cleaning technician or add a tip to your recurring charge.

Should I get a spring deep clean every year?

We recommend a spring deep clean every year, but it's not required. Many clients schedule a deep clean annually in addition to their regular recurring service.

Are there other ways to earn discounts on cleanings?

Yes! Write us a review on Facebook, Yelp, Google, or Angi (formerly Angie's List) and you'll receive $5 off your next clean per review.

Do you send appointment reminders?

Yes. Our scheduling system sends each client a reminder the day before their service with the approximate arrival time.
