Keeping your kitchen clean is extremely important. Not only do we simply love a clean kitchen, “cleanliness is next to holiness”, well, rather, a clean home gives you a clear mind.
That’s why we love a clean kitchen; it seems nice, it feels nice, it’s clean and so we feel the same. From the floors to the cabinets, having a properly clean kitchen is like no other.
Here’s how you can achieve just that; how to clean your kitchen in just a few simple steps! No worries, you won’t miss a thing.
Preparations: Buying Your Cleaning Supplies
Before you begin any cleaning, you must have the correct cleaning supplies and we’re not talking just your go-to All-Purpose Cleaner. You need the right supplies that are made for particular surfaces and use if you want to do a proper deep clean.
How to clean your kitchen starts with gathering up your cleaning products. In addition to your All-Purpose Cleaner, make sure to have purchased a glass cleaner, floor cleaner, and any other specialty cleaners for surfaces such as stainless, wood, stone, granite, and so on. You also need to have on you several rags, a broom, dustpan, and mop. Don’t forget to wear gloves and possibly a mask to protect yourself from the different chemicals within your cleaning products.
Now that your supplies are gathered, it’s time to start the “hard” part. Don’t worry, you made it this far, it’s cleaning time!
The Clean: Start High & End Low
So where do you begin? Deep cleans can be intimidating but approach this clean just as you would a normal clean, start high and end low.
Start off cleaning the cabinets. Dust the open and front of the cabinets with a duster. Since you’re starting from the top, let the dust and any crumbs fall onto the floor as you’ll be cleaning that up in the end.
Next, move onto the countertops. This is where you need to make sure that you use the right specialty product depending on your countertop and any other unique surface. Simply spray the countertops, stovetop, and sink with the product and use a rag to wipe down them down accordingly. Make sure you read each label to ensure you don’t damage anything in the process of cleaning.
Don’t forget about the lower cabinets. Repeat as you did with the top cabinets by spraying and dusting the surfaces.
Finally, the floor. Be sure to first thoroughly sweep the kitchen floor. Next, you can mop and your chosen floor cleaner. Make sure that when you mop, you don’t step on your floors until after they’ve dried!
